Artie Shaw Concerto, Pt. 2Todd Hearn, clarinet

Here's the Artie Shaw Concerto which I performed with 80+ musicians! We even added an improv section for the players in "the band." It's recorded in 2 parts, just like the original recording.
Beethoven Septet in Eb, Op. 20
Here's a recording of the entire Beethoven Septet. This recording is the entire concert, so fast-forward to the last 46 minutes to see the septet.
Jubilate Deo & A Mighty Fortress
This recording starts with A Mighty Fortress, but I put it here for the Jubilate Deo. I think the clarinet writing and solos throughout the orchestra are absolutely beautiful! Fast-forward to the 7 minute mark to find the Jubilate Deo.
Zonnewind & The New World, by Peter Jagdeo
2 recordings from Peter Jagdeo's video game score project. I recorded 3 tracks for this on clarinet and flute.
Full Saxophone sections from Slam Dunk & Sing, Sing, Sing
So, I know these are low budget, but I wanted to post anyway. These were my first efforts on layering multiple videos and tracks into one recording. Yes, I know the lighting is terrible and if you listen carefully it doesn't completely line up - I used WeVideo which was very glitchy to line up the tracks - but it was fun nonetheless. Slam Dunk is by L. Niehaus, and Sing, Sing, Sing is the Gordon Godwin arrangement. I fully intended to add clarinet for Sing, but unfortunately never did.

Alto Saxophone feature with orchestra & some section work
Heading 5
Here is some alto sax work with the Tallowood orchestra. The first recording is a saxophone feature (solo) of Blessed Assurance, and the second video is some section work with clarinet and alto on Peace Like a River.
Photos
Here are some pictures of some performances over the years. By doing this, I realize I need some more photos with my face in it. I'll work on it!
An American in Paris, with the Houston Symphony

These pictures are from the performance of the American In Paris movie soundtrack with the Houston Symphony. I played bass clarinet and tenor sax for these performances.
Hello, Dolly! National Broadway Tour

Performing Reed 2 for the national tour of Hello, Dolly! with Carolee Carmello and John Bolton at the Hobby Center, Houston's premiere musical theater stage. One cool thing about the Hobby Center in the basement hallways getting to the stage are all the murals and signatures of the performers on the walls. See if you can find my name on the wall!
West Side Story, with the AD Players

While not the first time I've played WSS, this was by far the best. 6 weeks of performances with a killer orchestra! I played Reed 2 for this one and it was an absolute blast each and every night. Here are pictures of me warming up (thanks Ray Gonzalez), one of the beautiful George Theater on Westheimer, and a view of the pit with stage screen dividing us from the awesome action up front.
A Chorus Line, Theater Under the Stars

While only a sub job for Reed 3, it's always been a dream of mine to play with TUTS. What a way to learn A Chorus Line! Big, fun, 70's rock-n-roll tenor saxophone solo near the end. Lots of great music!
Damn Yankees, International Thespian Festival at Indiana University—Bloomington

The ITF is a nationally recognized festival on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where some of the nations most tallented high school performances take place. We performend for a very electric audience of likely over 2,000 people. I played Reed 3. Thanks again to Ray Gonzalez for the first picture!

Amelie, flute, bass flute, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano saxophone

Sweeney Todd, Reed 3
piccolo, flute, Eb clarinet, Bb clarinet

Guys n Dolls, Reed 4
flute, clarinet, bassoon, tenor saxophone.

Private Christmas party with Kelly Hearn on violin

Subbing for a show on Reed 2 for Anything Goes at Miller Outdoor Theater was awesome!
Your thumb goes where? Bassoon was another Covid project for me.

From a time when (I think) my girls thought saxophone was cool.

Almost the whole family was in on this one! Kelly, Julia, Madeleine, and I were in the orchestra while Samantha was in the production of Elf the Musical. I think I may have played all the reed books. Alexis is there for moral support.

Teacher picture day (when I remember to go).

Mic check!
